The concept behind this photograph is to capture the effects of overthinking and how it can blur your view on what's happening around you, cloud your mind, and make it difficult to work with confidence and clarity. The photograph is taken with a low shutter speed to create the blurred effect as I am looking in two different directions, symbolizing how overthinking pulls your mind into multiple directions. The decision to make it a self portrait rather than use a model highlights my personal struggles with my own self image while also working towards overcoming it in the same image.
